Health In Action<\/h2>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\twas established in 2011 and is a registered non-governmental organization in Hong Kong. We firmly believe that everyone has the right to health regardless of occupation, economic status, gender, ethnicity, living environment or education level. With this belief, HIA is committed to the development of primary care by adopting social-medical integration through collaboration and practices; promoting health as the core of different sectors, and improving the health-related social determining factors. We explore and understand how social determining factors affect the health of different communities.\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Our Work<\/h2>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\tWe aspire to drive positive social change through cycles of \u201cservice, research, social advocacy and cultivation\u201d. Our current target beneficiaries include local working poor families, ethnic minorities, and refugees. Health In Action is a member of the Hong Kong Council of Social Service and is in Special Consultative Status with the United Nation Economic and Social Council.\n

We are committed to promoting social justice through the lens of health equity. Health is a fundamental human right for all, including physical, mental, and social wellbeing. The right to health encompasses not only healthcare services, but also the conditions in which we are born, grow up, work, live, and age, namely the social determinants of health.\n

Through working with Hong Kong\u2019s most vulnerable groups, we exemplify and underline the importance of addressing the social determinants of health in order to enable each individual to achieve health ownership. Currently, our target groups face multiple barriers in achieving health ownership. We sincerely invite individuals and organizations interested in promoting social justice and health to get in touch, exchange ideas and work together towards health for all, leaving no one behind.\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
